Kuiper Kraemer PC is pleased to announce that Attorney Nick Dondzila was recently appointed for a three-year term to the federal Criminal Justice Act (“CJA”) Panel for the Western District of Michigan. The CJA Panel is a collection of court-approved attorneys who are vetted by the federal judges of the district. Attorneys on the CJA Panel are appointed by the Federal Public Defenders Office, and represent federal criminal defendants who are otherwise unable to financially retain counsel of their own, and when a conflict of interest arises in multi-defendant cases, such as drug conspiracies and gang-related cases. CJA Panel members also represent defendants in cases related to firearms, controlled substances, and immigration violations.
